Dry Eye Solution

Dry Eye Syndrome is a condition where the surface of the eye lacks sufficient moisture or lubrication and can result from our glands not secreting enough fluid, or the existing fluid evaporating too quickly. This can often cause significant discomfort and contribute to the development of more serious eye diseases. 

Dry Eye can be caused by a wide variety of factors, including contact lenses, environment, medication, screen use and ocular conditions.

Symptoms can involve one or more of the following:

• Burning and stinging sensation
• Fatigue and tired eyes
• Gritty eyes
• Itching
• Intermittent blurring of vision
• Irritation
• Light sensitivity

Contrary to the name, people with Dry Eye can also experience excessive eye watering or tears.

If the underlying cause is not addressed, this will eventually lead to disease progression.
