Dr Sunila Dumpala
Dr Dumpala is the owner and principal optometrist of Optometrist Parramatta. She holds a PhD in Optometry and Vision Sciences from Queensland University of Technology, along with ocular therapeutic endorsement from the Australian College of Optometry.
A local resident, Sunila’s vision has always been to establish an independent practice where every patient receives personalised care. She brings extensive experience across Australian regional and comprehensive optometry settings, along with a strong understanding of complex visual needs, and is committed to delivering thorough, personalised and practical eye care solutions for every patient’s vision and eye health.
Sunila is focused on building on Optometrist Parramatta’s strong foundation and further strengthening its reputation for trusted, high-quality eye care services for the community. Outside of optometry, she enjoys travelling, dancing, and cooking.
Dr Nick Papadopoulos
Nick Papadopoulos graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1985 and is the former owner of Optometrist Parramatta.
Now semi-retired, Nick continues to consult 2 days per week and remains actively involved in the practice. He continues to provide comprehensive, evidence-based eye care with a strong focus on individual patient needs.
His clinical interests include contact lenses, children’s vision, orthokeratology, and the management of keratoconus.
Outside the clinic, Nick enjoys staying active and following sports, especially soccer.
As Optometrist Parramatta transitions to new ownership, Nick and Sunila are working together to ensure a smooth handover of care, while maintaining the same high standards and continuity patients have always trusted.
Patients will continue to receive familiar, personalised care, with a shared focus on long-term eye health.
